The Innovation in Diagnostics Report is has been completed by TheTechnology Strategy Board, MaDOx (Centre for Monitoring and Diagnosis, Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, University of Oxford), BIVDA, NICE and others. It is the output of workshop that was co-hosted with BIVDA and MaDOx last November which brought together experts to debate “what evidence is required for the adoption of diagnostic technologies” and to understand in more detail the challenges of adoption and how they might be overcome. The report focuses on all diagnostics and all disease areas so it is as relevant to SMIP as to DIIA. It provides recommendations and the authors are looking to take the work forward - a second workshop later is planned for later this year.
